Here are the reasons why Jillian Kossman is a finalist for the 2020 Ada Lovelace Awards, Digital Marketer.
π₯ Impact- Authored a blog post in 2017 about Title II and net neutrality, which attracted the attention of Google and several tech lobbying firms and resulted in her being invited to join a group of small-community entrepreneurs on a fly-in to speak with elected officials in DC. This effort led to convincing Louisiana Senator John Kennedy to vote in favor of net neutrality.
π‘ Innovation- Led iSeatzβ website redesign and made the experience fully segmented, delivering different messaging and content to different types of users. iSeatz is the only company in the space and likely one of the only small companies nationally using cookie-based segmentation on digital properties, thanks to Jillian.
π Leadership- Involved as a LeadHer Mentor at Phocuswright 2019, was a Phocuswright 2019 panelist on Women in Travel, launched the iSeatz Women in Tech series, and mentors two early-career women in technology, one whom just landed her dream job!
π Community- Consults for several local non-profits and startups.
